The Director of Events & Tours is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing Delta Virtual’s tours and community events. This role focuses on creating engaging flying opportunities, maintaining an active events calendar, developing new tours, and encouraging pilot participation across the airline.
The position works closely with the leadership team to coordinate special events, seasonal tours, group flights, and other activities that help keep the Delta Virtual community active and engaged. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, dependable, and passionate about bringing pilots together through unique and enjoyable flying experiences.

Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate Delta Virtual group events and fly-ins
Create, manage, and maintain tours for pilots
Develop seasonal, themed, and special-event flying opportunities
Maintain an active and balanced events calendar
Promote upcoming events and tours through Discord and other Delta Virtual channels
Encourage pilot participation and community engagement
Monitor tour and event participation and identify ways to improve turnout
Coordinate with leadership on major events, partnerships, and special initiatives
Work with the scheduling and fleet teams to ensure events use suitable routes and aircraft
Review pilot feedback and use it to improve future events and tours
Keep event and tour information accurate and up to date on the website
Assist with awards, recognition, or incentives tied to event and tour participation
Report on participation, upcoming plans, and any issues requiring leadership attention
Help develop new ideas that keep Delta Virtual’s flying experience fresh and engaging
