Delta ACARS Beta: Known Limitations and Workarounds

PILOT RESOURCE / GUIDE
If something looks wrong
- Note the exact application build and simulator version.
- Save screenshots or diagnostic output before restarting, if possible.
- Check whether the simulator connection is still active.
- Follow the normal recovery procedure for your beta build. Avoid repeatedly force-starting or duplicating a flight record.
- If a legitimate flight cannot be submitted, preserve independent evidence and request Pilot Operations review.
Does a confirmed ACARS defect automatically invalidate a flight?
No. SOP v4.0 says pilots should not be penalized solely for a confirmed software defect outside their control. Pilot Operations can evaluate manual PIREPs when evidence reasonably supports the flight.
How to get an issue resolved
Submit a reproducible bug report with your app version, simulator, aircraft, timestamps, and logs. Never upload credentials or authentication tokens.
