Delta Virtual and the Real-World Airline: Understanding the Difference

Understand what a virtual airline is and why Delta Virtual resources are simulation-only.

PILOT RESOURCE / GUIDE

What Delta Virtual is

Delta Virtual is an independent flight-simulation community. Members use a computer flight simulator, participate in events, record virtual flights, and interact with other hobbyists. The organization is not a real-world air carrier, travel agency, or employer.

What that means for pilots

  • A Delta Virtual schedule or flight number represents a simulation activity, not a bookable passenger service.
  • Crew Center statistics, ranks, awards, and any simulated economy or rewards are part of the virtual-airline experience.
  • Aircraft, schedules, dispatch materials, charts, airport data, and procedures shared through Delta Virtual are for flight simulation only.
  • Do not use information supplied by Delta Virtual as a substitute for official real-world aviation documentation.

Brand and affiliation

Delta Virtual is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Delta Air Lines, Inc. Third-party trademarks, airline names, aircraft names, and liveries belong to their respective owners.

Why the distinction matters

It keeps the purpose of the community clear, protects other aviation users from confusion, and reminds pilots that simulator practices are not instructions for operating a real aircraft.

Delta Virtual aims to offer an enjoyable flight-simulation experience with flexibility for members. Real-life obligations come first.
