Your First 14 Days at Delta Virtual
,A simple first-flight checklist and the new pilot activity deadline.
Welcome aboard
Delta Virtual is an independent flight-simulation community. Whether you fly Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, or another supported simulator, your first goal is to complete one accepted flight within 14 days of registration.
Your new-pilot checklist
- Sign in to your Delta Virtual account at deltavirtual.org.
- Check your pilot profile and make sure your name and email address are accurate.
- Review the flight rules before recording a flight.
- Choose a flight. You may use a published schedule or create a charter where supported.
- Use an approved ACARS client to record the flight and submit your PIREP (pilot report).
- Check the submitted report's status in the Crew Center. Your first-flight requirement is fulfilled when a flight is accepted, not merely started.
How much time do I have?
Your first accepted flight is due within 14 days of joining. If it is missing on day 14, Delta Virtual issues a warning and gives you three additional days. Without an accepted flight by the end of that warning period, membership is removed.
After your first flight
Once you are active, the requirement becomes one accepted flight every 60 days. If life gets busy, inactivity moves an established member to Leave rather than deleting the account.
